Based in Belper, Derbyshire, our bespoke framing company is independently owned and encompasses a highly skilled approach to each and every project. Our quest for perfection and focus on quality continues to be the drive and ethos of our work. We're also a proud member of The Fine Art Trade Guild.

At Becksitch, we believe that bespoke framing solutions should firstly be functional, providing artwork protection. We understand that it is not just vintage photographs and watercolours that require conservation picture framing services. In today’s environment, even newly produced artwork requires protection.  Secondly, fine art framing should be beautiful; even the simplest of picture frames should be proportionally elegant, with strong corners and a smooth, consistent finish.

Our expertise in fine art and conservation framing enables us to produce various kinds of high quality frame design, including hand drawn wash line mounts, dry mounting and heat sealing, wooden frames from environmentally sustainable forests. We have also expanded into new services including framing to conservation & museum standard.

Our Heritage

Our family has been long associated with the Fine Arts, dating back to the early 1870’s.

We have over five generations of knowledge that has been passed down through the ages, ensuring that many old recipes for conservation and restoration techniques were not lost but instead kept alive so that they can be used for generations to come. Furthermore, commissions and works have been carried out for various notable families including The Royal Family and The Church of England. We are proud of how far our business has come.

Our Location

Belper's economy was traditionally reliant on manufacturing industry and numerous goods were made in the town. Cotton spinning and textile production were major employers virtually for much of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The large East Mill and the smaller North Mill are now all that remain of the industry and are preserved as part of the Derwent Valley Mills world heritage site.
